Zhejiang Securities believes that NVIDIA will release a series of generative AI applications at the GTC2024 conference, which could become a new growth point for the company.
NVIDIA will hold its conference at the San Jose Convention Center and online from March 18th to 21st. This is one of NVIDIA's most important annual technology release platforms, widely recognized in the industry as an "AI benchmark."
In response to this, analysts Liu Wenshu and Li Peijing from Zheshang Securities stated in their latest report that NVIDIA is expected to unveil the Blackwell architecture and B100 chip at the conference, with a comprehensive upgrade to the hardware series. NVIDIA's robot series applications are also expected to undergo iterations. Additionally, NVIDIA will release a series of generative AI applications, which could become a new growth point for the company.
Data Center: Blackwell Architecture brings upgrades to data center and gaming GPUs
The analysts at Zheshang Securities wrote in the report that one of NVIDIA's core technologies is the design and iterative capability of microarchitecture. According to DigiTimes, the Blackwell architecture will adopt TSMC's 3nm process and will expand to data center and consumer-grade GPUs. The next-generation GPU - B100 will use a multi-chip (MCM) design, dividing GPU components into independent chips, providing greater flexibility on custom chips, and is expected to significantly increase computing power.
The report also mentioned that NVIDIA's chip cooling technology will upgrade from the previous "air cooling" to a "water cooling" solution. The flagship AI computing chip B200, set to be launched in 2025, is expected to have a power consumption of up to 1000W per single GPU.
Edge Side: Iterations expected for robot series software and hardware
The analysts at Zheshang Securities stated that the NVIDIA Jetson series is a computing platform for edge AI and robots, including Nano, TX2, Xavier NX, AGX Xavier series hardware, and the Isaac platform. It can simplify the development process of robots, accelerate from prototype design to actual deployment, and enable robots to interact better with the surrounding environment.
The report shows that there are currently over 1.2 million developers and more than 10,000 customers who have chosen NVIDIA's robot development solutions, including Amazon Web Services, Cisco, John Deere, Medtronic, PepsiCo, and Siemens.
Generative AI Applications: NVIDIA's long-term growth point
Zheshang Securities analysts predict that NVIDIA will release the WPP/NVIDIA engine for digital advertising, RTX Chat, the industrial metaverse supported by SyncTwin, and the Blender animation creation code by OpenAI.
