Elon Musk: The progress of FSD is no longer limited by AI training computing power
Tesla pointed out that most people are unaware of Tesla's potential, and the advanced driver assistance system will see faster improvements
Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently hinted on the social platform X that due to Tesla's breakthrough in AI training computing power bottleneck, its advanced driver assistance system will see faster improvements.
Tesla's latest statement is in response to renowned tech writer and futurist Robert Scoble. Previously, Scoble posted on X stating that Tesla's AI "has been severely underestimated," "My car was carrying two founders of AI companies as we crossed San Francisco. If you have friends with FSD, you can ask them to give you a ride. If you think Tesla has competitors, then you are completely wrong. There are none." Considering Scoble has been involved in the tech industry since 1993 and has considerable experience in autonomous driving technology, his comments carry weight.
In response, Tesla pointed out that most people are unaware of Tesla's potential. They also stated, "Since we are no longer limited by AI training computing power, the pace of improvement will greatly accelerate."
Tesla's response has excited electric vehicle and Tesla enthusiasts, many of whom have been eagerly awaiting such updates. Training neural networks for FSD and automated driving assistance requires a significant amount of computing power, which is why Tesla is committed to developing the Dojo supercomputer and investing heavily in NVIDIA-driven AI clusters.
Considering this, Tesla's recent updates on X may indicate that Tesla's NVIDIA training computing cluster is performing well, or that the Dojo project has made significant progress. Both possibilities are good news for Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) and Autopilot projects, as they suggest that the speed of updates and optimizations for the advanced driver assistance system will accelerate
