Microsoft to invest $7.16 billion in building a new data center in Spain
Microsoft plans to invest €6.69 billion (USD 7.16 billion) in developing a new data center in the northeastern region of Aragon, Spain. The Aragon regional government stated that Microsoft has applied for a construction permit to build the data center at a location outside the city of Zaragoza, confirming a report by the local newspaper "El Heraldo". The investment by Microsoft is expected to be carried out over 10 years. Microsoft did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
