<p>Elon Musk revealed the name of the recently completed supercomputing cluster in Texas after visiting it over the weekend. Musk wrote on X that the supercomputing cluster at the Texas Gigafactory has been named &#34;Cortex,&#34; and he noted that he had just completed the drill at the new facility. &#34;Cortex&#34; features around 100,000 NVIDIA H100 and H200 chips for training the neural networks of fully autonomous driving and humanoid robot Optimus Prime</p>

<p>Tesla has built a supercomputing cluster named "Cortex" in Texas, equipped with approximately 100,000 NVIDIA chips for training neural networks for fully autonomous driving and humanoid robots. The cluster has a huge cooling demand, requiring about 130MW of electricity this year. Tesla estimates that its spending on NVIDIA chips this year could reach $3-4 billion. The remaining funds will be used for internal development of AI inference computers, vehicle sensors, and the Dojo supercomputer</p>
