2024 Fortune Global 500: Walmart remains the world's largest company, with Amazon returning to second place

On August 5, 2024, the Fortune Global 500 list was announced. The total revenue of the Fortune Global 500 companies this year is approximately $41 trillion, equivalent to one-third of the global GDP, a slight increase of about 0.1% from last year. The total net profit of all listed companies increased by 2.3% year-on-year, reaching around $2.97 trillion. Walmart has been the world's largest company for the eleventh consecutive year.
