Ming-Chi Kuo: Apple plans to use its own WiFi 7 chips for new products in the second half of next year
On October 31, Tianfeng International analyst Guo Mingqi published an article stating that Broadcom currently ships over 300 million Wi-Fi+BT chips (hereinafter referred to as Wi-Fi) to Apple each year, but Apple will begin to rapidly reduce its dependence on Broadcom. Guo Mingqi indicated that Apple is expected to adopt its own Wi-Fi chips in new products (such as the iPhone 17) starting in the second half of next year. These chips will be produced using TSMC's N7 process and will support the latest Wi-Fi 7. It is anticipated that within about three years, nearly all of Apple's products will switch to using its own Wi-Fi chips. This move by Apple will not only reduce costs but also enhance its ecological integration advantages
